Prerequisites

The initial consultation will provide you and your partner with the opportunity to learn about assisted reproductive therapies.

It also permits our team to understand your situation and needs. As such, it includes clinical histories and physical examinations, as well as some pretest results for our assessment.

Blood Tests:

For some therapies, blood tests are done to determine your blood type and to screen for certain viruses; one of these is the AIDS test. We also perform analysis of cervical and vaginal secretions to determine the presence of microorganisms that may interfere with fertility.

Male Factor Assessment:

It is important that every male patient have a sperm functional analysis (SFA) before treatment. Men with an abnormal sperm functional analysis may be suitable candidates for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
