AART offers Preimplantation Genetic Testing Aneuploidy (PGT-a), Preimplantation Genetic Testing Monogenic Disease (PGT-m), and Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Chromosomal Rearrangement (PGT-sr).
Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-a) is genetic testing used in conjunction with in-vitro fertilization (IVF) to count the number of chromosomes present in an embryo. PGT-A screens embryos for numerical chromosomal abnormalities, which helps IVF physicians and patients decide which embryos to transfer to the uterus.
Preimplantation Genetic Testing Monogenic Disease (PGT-m) is a process that involves genetically testing embryos to identify a specific gene disorder in order to select unaffected embryos for transfer to the uterus. PGT-m combines the technologies of IVF, embryo biopsy, genetic analysis, and cryopreservation.
Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Chromosomal Rearrangement (PGT-sr) is a process that involves genetically testing embryos to identify chromosomal translocations in order to select unaffected embryos for transfer to the uterus. PGT-sr combines the technologies of IVF, embryo biopsy, genetic analysis, and cryopreservation.
