AART offers satellite services for active patients receiving fertility treatments at another center. To access satellite services, you must have had a clinic appointment with a physician at AART in the last 12 months. If you have not yet had an appointment with an AART physician or more than 12 months have passed since your last appointment, you will require a referral. AART’s fees for satellite services do not include post-transfer care.

AART may, at its discretion, decline to provide satellite services if:
AART has no knowledge of the clinic providing care.
AART has knowledge of the clinic providing care and has evidence-based concerns of a clinical or ethical nature.
AART is being asked to prescribe drugs that are not compatible with safe practice.
AART has not seen the patient in a clinic appointment the last 12 months and the patient has not booked an appointment to be seen before drugs are prescribed.
AART is aware that the patient has not had the appropriate medical, legal, ethical, and psychological counseling and assessments.
The patient is not aware of the risks, implications, and possible complications associated with treatment.
The patient is seeking treatment for sex selection. The Assisted Human Reproduction Act states that “No person shall knowingly for the purpose of creating a human being, perform any procedure or provide, prescribe or administer anything that would ensure or increase the probability that an embryo will be of a particular sex, or that would identify the sex of an in vitro embryo, except to prevent, diagnose or treat a sex-linked disorder or disease”.
Any other concerns that arise before or during the treatment.
